How to Make Protein Fig Bars
- 1 cup dried figs
- 1 cup almond butter
- 1 tablespoon flax meal
- 2 scoops Bone Broth Collagen Vanilla (or Multi Collagen Protein Vanilla)
- 2 tablespoons raw honey
- Line an 8x8 baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- Add all the ingredients to a food processor and blend until dough starts to form into a ball.
- Press the dough evenly into the pan and refrigerate for 2 hours, or until bars set.
- Cut into squares and store in an airtight container.
A great gluten-free, Paleo snack that comes in handy any time of day, these almond fig bars are also surprisingly easy to make.
First, line an 8x8 baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. Cut the stems off the dried figs. Then add all the ingredients to a food processor and blend until the "dough" starts to form into a ball.
Remove from the food processor and press the mixture into the pan. Put in the refrigerator for two hours, or until the bars set.
Remove from fridge and cut into 12 squares. Store in fridge when not serving.
